Version us-1.0 · binding for accounts in the United States

MedCards Terms of Use (United States) — version us-1.0

Draft for counsel review. These terms apply to accounts with the US home region. The contracting party is the US

entity of MedCards.

U-1 The service

U-1.1 MedCards is a study tool for medical students. It is not medical advice and does not replace clinical

judgment, guidelines or supervision.

U-1.2 You must be 16 or older. Accounts aged 16 and 17 keep the safer defaults.

U-2 Your content

U-2.1 You keep the rights to your notes. You give MedCards the licence it needs to store, sync and show them to you.

U-2.2 Shared decks follow the licence you choose and the community guidelines (US version, G-1 to G-10).

U-3 Secure exam content

U-3.1 You must not upload, share or sell secure exam content: recalled or copied items of the USMLE, COMLEX, NBME

or shelf exams, or any material that an exam sponsor protects. MedCards removes it and may close the account.

U-4 Plans, auto-renewal and refunds

U-4.1 A paid plan renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Before the first charge we show

the price, the period, the renewal and how to cancel; we send a reminder before an annual renewal.

U-4.2 You can cancel at any time in Settings › Plans or in your store account; the plan runs to the end of the paid

period.

U-4.3 Web refunds follow the refund rules (US). Store purchases follow Apple's or Google's rules.

U-5 Copyright

U-5.1 We answer copyright notices under the DMCA policy. Repeat infringers lose their accounts.

U-6 Disputes

U-6.1 The governing law, the venue and any dispute clause are set by counsel.
